Dear Colleagues,

The editorial team for this issue spent a lot of time on the road recently. My coworkers celebrated the 75th anniversary of Mesamoll in Krefeld-Uerdingen, they looked at what the Rhein Chemie team implemented at their plant in Mannheim after the Operational Excellence Site Diagnostics team paid a visit (page 6), and they were on hand for the Inorganic Pigments business unit’s first Innovation Day at the Krefeld-Uerdingen site (from page 12 onward). The editorial staff was thrilled to be right in the thick of things again and to see and hear firsthand what all of you are doing for the company in these economically challenging times. With its innovations in the major field of LFP batteries, the research team at IPG, led by Murat Gürsoy, radiated a great deal of optimism for the future. 

It is your dedication that has carried us through the last 20 years and helped us overcome many obstacles. Next year, we want to celebrate this – including in Xpress. That’s why we’re taking the 20th anniversary of the company’s IPO as an opportunity to ask you about your own personal LANXESS story. We look forward to receiving lots of submissions. You can read more about this on page 23.
